XMAS EVE MIDNIGHT MASS

It's a tradition in the Chu familiy to go to Christmas Mass. Even though some of the Chus are not that religious, mumsie hopes that they will enjoy the ceremony and music. It's a good way to end an evening spent together as a family. Mumsie highly recommend attending the mass regardless of what religion you are and even if you're not religious. You'll walk away inspired.
We are invited by the angel of GOD, through the message of the Gospel to set out in our hearts to see the child lying in the manger.
God's sign is simplicity. God's sign is the baby. God's sign is that he makes hims small for us. This is how he reigns. He does not come with power and outward splendour. He comes as a baby - defenceless and in need of our help. So he makes himself a child. God made himself small so that we could understand him, welcome him and love him. He does not want to overwhelm us with his strength. So Christmas has become the Feast of gifts in imitation of God who has given himself to us. Let us allow our heart, our soul, our minds to be touched by this fact!!!

So mumsie was able to bring everybody to mass that evening after a sumptious xmas eve dinner
Happy happy Mumsie...she has been praying praying very hard for this!!!
At least these fellas are not 'sleeping'
Are they meditating or sleeping???

Of course most importantly Baby Jesus must arrive in His crib this night!!! A ceremony is made of enthroning Baby JESUS in the manger... Here Father Peter is putting Baby Jesus into his crib..during the mass. Here he is in front of the altar...

And he will stay here for the next two weeks until Christmas season is over....
That's why every year @ Christmas in every church (and @ mumsies' home) a Navtivity set is placed to celebrate the Saviour's coming.
Even Dadda managed to come on time...He was called out for a delivery just as we arrived @ the church's door...so mumsie started praying and praying so that Dadda can come in time for the ceromony....The Lord says, ASK and you shall be given, SEEK and you will find..KNOCK and the doors will be open to you and mumsies will
remind HIM of this promise each time mumsie prays!!

Every nativity scene is lovingly detailed to tell the story of the birth of Jesus in the manger.
The 'CHUS' in front of the altar after the Mass

Then we gathered in one of 'Cheh-cheh' s(Cat's)
favourite kopitiam for supper!

It really is a long long long night...which started with our dinner, then 2hours plus in the church and now supper...but it is all worth it...!!!

This is really one of mumsies BEST CHRISTMAS!!!
