WHOSE FAULT IS IT?????

This advertisment which mumsie saw on the TV during the Chinese New year season really makes one start thinking....wonder what TELECOMS who put this advert is trying to say..????.

It goes somehting like this.....(mumsie couldn't remember what were their children's professions but they are all 'big shots)

Four fairly old Chines ladies were sitting @ a mahjong table in a garden (? playing mahjong not too sure what they were doing..) The first lady told the rest of the ladies that her son who is a professor is working in the US...The second proudly added that she too had a daughter a doctor also working over seas..and The third commented that her children too are professionals all working oversea. The fourth lady listen quietly and didn't utter a word...

Then a car (a simple old car) stopped beside thier porch and a young man got out..inside the car were 2 small children and (I think) the young man's wife. He greeted the fourth lady. "Mum we come to take you home for dinner" And the fourth lady with a broad smile excused herself and said "Sorry gotta go home and have re-union dinner with my children"

As the car drove away with the fourth lady....the rest of the 3 ladies...looke at one another sulkily........

WILL HAVING MORE CHILDREN MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE?

This morning when mumsie was @ Mass, mumsie saw an Indian couple (both retired teachers) walked into the church in their 'Sunday Best'...both dressed very smartly...the guy with tie and the lady with a 'typical' Indian red sarie...so mumsie commented..."looks as if it is your wedding day" and they replied...."it is our 40th wedding anniversary".....and that leads to mumsie's next comment..."where are your children?"

"Oh" replied the proud Daddy...."they are all in the States....married there..." and the wife looked a bit sad...."how nice if only they are here!!!" she added...and this remark makes mumsie
think..."When mumsie and dadda celebrates their 40th wedding anniversary will any of our children be around?"....See next week is 'Father's day' and I don't think any of the children will be around to take daddy out for dinner even if mumsie is willing to 'foot the bill'...David just flew off to Hong Kong today and will be there for the next 9 days!!! Mumsie did mention to Daniel but he said...'exams are around the corner' and don't think the girls can do anything either...

By the way next Thursday 14/6/07 will be Mumsie and Daddy's ? 33rd year wedding anniversary ...(wonder if mumsie should have more children...maybe just maybe...at least one will be around to look at our ?happy faces???????)

On and off mumsie got to hear stories that will `touch' mumsie's heart and mumsie remember one of David's friends telling mumsie the following story..which mumsie will like to share it with who-so-ever reads mumsie's blog and hopefully impart some lessons to them....how one human being in adversity tries to help make another's last days brighter and happier.....It goes like this.

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon . His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. They spoke for hours on end -- of their wives and families, their homes, their job....

Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those one-hour periods where his world would be livened by the activities and colours of the wourl ouside.
The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake..Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amid flowers of every colour and fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance. Parades may pass by ..Although the other man couldn't hear the band - he could see it in his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.
As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene.

Days and weeks passed..

One morning, the man by the window, died in his sleep.
Then the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch. But after slowly and painfully, propping himself up to take his first look at the real world outside, he found that the window faced a blank wall.!!!
Surprised, he asked the nurse what could have complelled his dead roommate to describe such wonderful things outside this window.
The nurse was taken aback.."But he was BLIND AND COULD NOT EVEN SEE THE WALL"
"Perhaps," she wondered aloud, "he just wanted you to be happy"
Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Mumsie would like to share this with whosoever is reading mumsie's blog with something that mumsie read not so long ago...

There was this little poor kid, in the heart of winter, looking at a store window, wishing he could have a pair of shoes and socks to withstand the cold and walk the streets of New York.
As the 10-year old stood, barefooted and shivering, a well-dressed lady approached him and said, "My little fellow, why are you looking so earnestly in the window?"
"I was asking God to give me a pair of shoes," was the boy's reply.
The lady took him by the hand and went into the store, and asked the salesman to get a half dozen pairs of socks for the boy. She then asked if he could give her a basin of water and a towel.
She took the little fellow to the back part of the store and, removing her gloves knelt down, washed his little feet, and dried them with a towel.
The salesman returned with the socks . Placing a pair upon the boy's feet, she then bought him a pair of shoes, and tying up the remaining pairs of scoks gave them to him. She patted him on the head and said,"No doubt, my lttle fellow, you feel more comfortable?"
As she turned to go' the boy caught her by the hand , and looking up in her face, with tears
in his eyes, answered the question with these words: "ARE you God's WIFE?"
