Mumsie's Christmas Decor

Every year mumsie loves to decorate her house according to the seasons's theme ie Christmas or Chinese New Year.. (Can't remember when I started this...
must be quite some years back) Wonder if any of mumsie's little ones remember???
That's why mumsie likes to collect some of her decor from different parts of the world. The guy above is from America....(about 10 years + ago...???) Press the little red button at the bottom of his feet and he can sing non-stop...Santa is coming to town!!!
Mumsie got some of these 'fellas' from Japan

This is one of mumsie's 'PRIZE COLLECTION' (mumsie's favourite) This litte guy can play any of the 12 piano (chirstmas carols) music pieces at the side pockets...just pick any piece at random and he will play it beautifully .....

Got some of these from Alaska and the tree came from Hokaido (Japan) The angel and the little snow man can 'churn' out carol pieces when you
twirl them...
It took mumsie quite some time to put these up the stairs but it is worth it...a few pieces came from JB Metro and quite a bit from Paris!!...
And that is why whenever we go on our yearly holidays overseas mumsie tried to sneak something back...(Before daddy can say anything nasty!!!!!)

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

This afternoon mumsie took mumsie's mumsie and sisters to lunch...YES they're down in JB enroute to Paris...leaving @ 12 MN from S'pore!! Mumsie and Dadda were supposed to go with them but back out @ the very last minute cos it's a 2 week trip and we couldn't take off for such a long period...since we only just took off to Japan and we did spent quite a bit of time off with
cheh-cheh when she was back.. Anyway we were in Paris not so long ago with Cheh-cheh....and I think Dadda gotta see all that he wanted to see then and mumsie did shop shop and shop in Paris
(though I don't think I'll mind not shopping again...as I told everybody it's a sin not to shop in Paris!!)
Another reason for mumsie to back out of this trip is....none of mumsie's little ones is going... Mumsie's main objective to go on hols is..so that we can spend more time with our little ones..
where we eat together....play together only short of sleeping together.
Well maybe next year we may be able to rope in a bigger crowd...including mumsie's other siblings as well....Not only KFC but also the crowd from Penang and the crowd that were in KFC'S house that wonderful night . NOW HOWSABOUTDAT??? Maybe those in UK (Suk Ye) too .. start planning now !!!!!
This is for you, Suk Ye...maybe there's a chance for U to get in touch with them...
I did mention that I'll let you know of their whereabouts...but also told them that you've just started working... and very like yee-yee and your mah-mah...'.don't disturb her!!!' were their comments.

Whose fault is it???

Wonder if any of mumsie's little ones remeber this incident...it was Daniel's...?? 10 or 11 years old birthday and mumsie printed invitation cards with time, date, and address on it inviting his class mates to his birthday party...Well during 'his time' and as he was studying in the 'usual school' his classmates are 75% Muslims ! So mumsie took great 'pains' to make sure that we cater muslim food...and all disposables plates, spoons ect ect. We even rope in a 'Muslim satay man' and had the party in the afternoon so that it won't be held 'too near bed time'
AND GUESS WHAT ??? When that day comes NOT ONE OF HIS CLASS MATES TURN UP!!!
Only one little boy from his church's cathechesim's class came...WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!
I'm sure Daniel must be feeling very very very bad...and must be wondering why why why..
The only reason mumsie can think of is....those children's parents were worried that we might serve their children 'non-halal' food....(see all this talk about polarisation and our children are not mixing enough and that in UNI those fellas are not mixing enough blah blah...stems from the very beginning....their upbringing and their parents teaching!!!)

Lucky thing mumsie was able to rope in the clinic nurses that day and they came and celebrated Daniel's birthday...and mumsie was able to be a good MC...dancing around and pushing them to join in Musical chairs... staute dancing....ect ect...gotta to finish all mumsie's 'prepared prizes'

Well this is a lesson to be learnt ...who to invite for your children's birthday parties!!! Until today whenever mumsie read in the newspapers that the 'people in the govt. dept.' wants to know why the children in schools and uni tend to group around their own races... mumsie was so tempted to write this incident to 'readers write' for those people to figure out whose fault is it?????

DADDY O !

After working in the Hospital for some time we tend to pick up quite a lot of things...well most nurses will tell you that by just observing they will be abe to tell whether the patients are 1st time parents or not..
1st time 'daddy' will accompany their wifes right into labour room and stay with them till their
little one arrives

2nd time 'daddy' will accompany their wifes up to the labour room 'door'

3rd time 'daddy' will accompany or drive their wifes up to the hospital entrance

4th time 'daddy' will ask their wifes to take the taxi to the hospital and ring him after their
little ones are out.

WHEN I'M 84

Today a very smartly dressed old lady walked into the clinic to buy parking coupon. She spoke excellent English..and mumsie out of curiosity asked whether she was the one driving the car and she answered 'YES'. And mumsie asked for her age and she told us that she is 84 . Sraight away mumsie said a prayer and then I said my prayer aloud.. " Lord I pray that when I'm 84 I will be like this lady ...can still drive around!" Gosh you're good man...so old can still drive!!! Exclaimed Musmsie..and her answer was simple..."out of necessity.. There's nobody else to drive her !!!Mumsie's next question was how many children had she.. And she said she had 4 daughters but they're all overseas! Then without hesitation she added that her 'cobler' told her husband and her that quote " THE rich are very stupid...they sent their children overseas to study and they never come back...see mine all studied here and I have all of them around me" (FOOD FOR THOUGHT)
Then she walked very slowly out of the clinic to her car..ALL the clinic girls were facinated... dunno by her age or by her remarks! Mumsie would have loved to follow her out to see what car she drives!

RAYA AT MAMAK 'S HOUSE

This is the'Mamak' that I was talking about in my last post...His name actually is 'Farouke' but all the girls in the clinic calls him 'Mamak' He comes from India and is an Indian Muslim.. He really is very patriotic...he goes back to Inida neary every year. Even his son's wife is 'imported' from India...Yeh 'matched-make' In this age there is still such thing... Oh his son is a hand-some guy not those 'dongoy' but 'obedience' is the word!!
(Should have taken a photo of him to prove to my 'little ones'.. I suppose the rest of his children will have to follow this tradition....we'll wait and see.

This is MAMAK'S neighbour's house..see the orange coloured block of cement with steps @ the side in front of the door?? Well this is to block the flood water from entering the house when the sky 'pours' but that Raya when we were there the water still runs into the house...not high enough...see how high the water level was?? CAN YOU immagine the amount of mud that got in and how to'flush' it out after the water recedes? That's why Mamak did not built this blockage but use some wooden plank but the plank was not put up in time so the water came in .
This is Mamak's house without the cement block~
By the way this is Azlan (our driver) and his family...they happen to stay next door..It was Mamak who introduce him to work with us.
Typical 'Raya' makan rice with chili chili chili (don't think Joel can take this...not bad .. no change every year is the same...Incidently all the girls...yeh all of them had diarrhoea the next day....EXCEPT DADDY AND MUMSIE!!!! (Either we have very strong
guts or we were the only ones that didn't eat most of the 'goodies' that were being sent to the ward by the other staff that day...(usually the Muslim girls who are on duty will bring some food to share with the nurses that were on duty that day)

Azlan and daughter and one of our staff's son..See they are all in their 'Sunday' best baju. See the nice carpet ..only laid out on this special day..clean floors ect.Lucky thing that day.. mamak's wife grap all our shoes and put them into a box if not they will become little boats ... and float or sink away.. because of this they were late in putting up the
'defence plank of wood at the door..I suppose when the sky was dark they were too embarrased to do anything until the very last minute when they couldn't put it off any more!
So this year we did not have to 'witness' the embarassment of the flood.. in Mamak's house..I wonder how they felt that day...Mumsie felt terrible for them...especially Mamak and his wife were drenched from head to foot!! The carpet and curtains were rolled up. CAN YOU IMMAGINE STAYING IN SUCH A HOUSE...each time when the rain comes. it's hard work!
I think mumsie's little ones will NEVER WANT TO COME HOME if this was to happen in our place.

Thanks our lucky star

Tomorrow is Hari Raya..and this remind me of an incidence which mumsie thinks that we should say a little prayer to thank the 'Good lord' for giving us what we're (especially my little ones!!) having now..

Every year this 'mamak guy' who has a tricycle 'stall' (selling all those things that you will from the 'ding-ding' man or the 'roti' man who sells his wares from bread, to sweets, biscuits ect ect from house to house)- in front of our clinic will invite all our staff including mumsie and the Dr to his house for 'raya' makan. And every year he will extend his invitation but we never take him seriously and every year he asked why nobody turn up..for his many dishes! So started a few years back mumsie will take Daddy and a few staffs to his house for lunch.
2 years ago something happen on that Raya' day that really opens mumsie's eyes and mumsie has never stopped thanking the 'fella' up there whenever mumsie goes on holidays or even after a nice outing or a nice meal!! OR ANY THING NICE !!!

Well on that particular Raya day...as mumsie and daddy and some staffs entered his house there was already a couple of mamak's neighbours there having lunch. So we sat in another corner tasting some of mamak's kueh-kueh and mueh-mueh' when suddenly all his neighbours disappeared!!
Why?? Because the rain started and do you know that each time when it rains this area gets flooded.....Real FLOOD!!! Daddy just got out of the house in time to move our Estima further down the road before the rain pours!! Within seconds the road in front of his house became a river!! Now mumsie knows why their neighbour disappear..they gotta go back to their house to 'save' their belongings!!!
Mamak and his wife were outside trying to save whatever furniture that were trying to 'float' away...from their little garden and the water level was up to their waist!!! They managed to get a plank of wood to block their door to stop the water from flowing into their house...but not before some of it had already flooded in!! Can you immagine the scene..here we were pulling our skirts up our knees and the daddy rolling his pants up (and some body whispered...'what if Dr had to leave now to answer an emergency??? And daddy replied that we would had to look for a bucket to 'row' him out of the area!!!!!) Now don't forget that the host and his family were in their 'Sunday best' yes in thier new shining 'Raya baju!!!" The house too were 'dressed up' with new carpets , new curtains ect ect..Mumsie remembered picking up some extention plugs on the floor -just in case the whole house 'melutup' if water got into one of those plugs!!! The water just 'GUSHED' into the house and its compound!! Muddy yellow water that leaves yellow muddy stain!!! To them this is a 'daily afair!!!!' Whenever there is a heavy downpour this happens That' why they must always have someone in the house!!! Mumsie really felt 'BAD' AND FELT 'SORRY' for them.... (Hope nobody saw mumsie wiping some tears away) OMG they were trying their best to entertain thier guests showing off their 'dressed up house' and in their 'Sunday best' yes all their children were 'dressed up too' AND THIS HAD TO HAPPEN!!
We were locked up in their house for more than 3/4 hr watching helplessly until the rain stopped.. Now are we going to stay or leave once the rain stopped and after the water disappear??
Yeah once the rain stop ..just as quickily as the torrents came they receded just as quick..But by now the whole floor was filled with filth....and we rolled up our sleeves and skirts..to help them to literally 'WASH' the whole house..YEP you gotta to hose the whole place then mop mop mop!!
We can't just walk out after this we sat down and had our 'RAYA LUNCH' with them as if nothing had happen!!!
HOW MUMSIE WISHED THAT MUMSIE'S 'LITTLE ONES' were around to witness this day with mumsie ..Then they will know how VERY VERY VERY LUCKY they were!!!

From that year onwards before we leave for 'Mamak's house for 'raya makan' we look up the sky to see whether the sky is dark...just in case it rains!!! So tomorrow when mumsie goes to church Mumsie must remember to pray for 'GOOD WEATHER' Don't think mumsie wants to witness another scene of MAMAK AND HIS WIFE drenched in the rain dressed in their 'SUNDAY BEST'

(By the way this 'mamak' guy's tricycle stall has been selling his wares outside our clinic for many many years) He's got a 'moble' (I think that's what's it's called) license..which means that he must move from house to house but because business is good here he 'stays put' for half a day in front of our clinic and you know what happen???? The MPJB fellas will come and give him summons!!!!! YEAH each time they come he had to pay a few hundred $ fine!! So if ever he sees them coming from afar he rides off with them chasing behind...of course whatever that was left behind ie the stools and some wares that mamak had no time to pack before he 'runs away' will be packed into the MPJP van and he will have to pay a fine to claim them back!! Oh BOY
what a way to earn an honest living....!!!

Thanks our lucky star

ALL ABOUT CERVICAL CANCER

Sorry mumsie made a mistake about the address...that's why most of you couldn't open that add. It should be www.tellsomeone.com.my Now shoot @ it. IT IS A MUST FOR ALL WOMEN AND GIRLS TO know something about pap smears....

MUMSIE'S PHOTOS

This was last week's creation for the altar...if you put this in a vase with as little water as posible (and off course with changing the water daily) the flowers can last for weeks.....This creation is already more than 2 weeks old...
See got this done for the alter.. this morning Was alble to attend the 6.30 am mass...mumsie was the commentator..so must go even though mumsie gotta attend another one @ 10.00am.... then rush to the market..grab some chicken (for hospital use) some fish..lobster...(Danny boy is home this week) vegi..sesamine oil (12 bottles for patients use) a big box of ginger...few kilos of black beans..kilos and kilos of vegi..patient use then ta-pau breakfast for David & friend-after breakfast they are driving up to KL...Yati rang mumsie's h/p to inform that Danny boy is back -gosh only 7.30 am ..he must have started driving from Malacca @ 5.00am! Rush back to add breakfast ta-pau. Reach home just in time to gulp down a little b'fast cos daddy is waiting to go to work patient/or nusrse is calling....(Seems like my whole life mumsie is rushing rushing rushing and running running but this doesn't seem to help mumsie to 'shed off' some unwanted pounds!!!
Mumsie gotta to go back to church @ 10.00 am...but labour room got an emergency...baby's heart beat is dropping...gotta be in OT to receive baby ...time is nearing 10.00 am never mind church is only 5 mins away... can still sneak in (in time)
Wanna try out my hand on photography...with and without flash!!

Dunoo why the photos was not published in the last blog...I did upload them sucessfully...I'm sure I did but well mumsie will try again...just return from sending the patient's food to the hospital and also from the gold fish shop...bought a few more (6 to be exact) hope they behave..
I think you can't add more..too much addition... these new ones may'poison' the old ones..
Think it has got something to do with their 'pooh' the new fish's pooh contain soemthing that will kill the old ones...I think so gotta to controll them too many new ones too much 'pooh' Wonder if I quarantine them for a few days will it work?? Sort of starve them a few days then only add them in the pond..but gotta get something to put them in... arggg to much fuss...just plong them in and pray.....now try again to up load some photos

Precious Saturday

Yippeee it's Saturday....why cos this is the only day that mumsie is @ home when the sun is still shining (ooops haze no sun) Still gotta work but 1/2 day ie mumsie can be @ home by ? 3pm. But the last 2 Saturdays was bad..cos our house designer came and we spent 'talking to him for about 3 hours...then gotta rush out for an emergency LSCS...THAT'S IT WHOLE SATURDAY GONE!!! Then the follwoing Saturday...Kevin our printer (dunno when he became a sales man) came..trying to sell this BIG VACCUUM CLEANER CUM AIR PURIFYER (not cheap about 6-7 K) He was demonstrating what this 'wonder machine' can sucks!!! Ya 'human skin dropings' (mumsie' version) So we took him to grandma's and aunty 's room. This is the only room that the maids are barred from cleaning or entering! Cos aunty kept all her 'eatables and non eatables' in her room..very worried of them disappearing....jokes aside she won't even hang her bras and panties.. any where after washing so they will be hung on a chair outside her room under her watchful eyes whilst they dry!!!! Mumsie thought this will be a GOOOOD DAY FOR
SPRING CLEANING THEIR ROOM!!! Here is this guy trying out all his equipments ..sucking the matress....and mumsie insisted on the walls too... and oh the beside tables ect ect...Auntie was real worried she kept on telling the guy don't 'perform any magic in her room' and mumsie kept on 'shooing' her away..See according to him the mattress needs to be sucked on & off cos human skin not visible to the eyes but does get stuck to the mattress !! Well unlike other vaccuum this guy sucks everything into water yah water so when you open it up you can actually see the dirt floating on the water...but either grandma's mattress is a new one or grandma's skin is too old to drop...so not much of a demonstration.. Of course the wall and the back of the bed is great.....Mumsie thought since we're at it why not demonstrate on the carpet in the hall......won't get much human skin but at least we can get Furbie's fur ! Furbie used to
roll around there and even pooh - pooh there when she was small (No more now according to Yati) So mumsie took the most powerful 'sucker' and brrrrrrr Oh boy was it good dunno about that guy ..think his machine had a 'heart attack' anyway mumsie was pleased not with the machine but @ least mumsie's Saturday afternoon was not wasted!!! (nope don't think mumsie will buy the machine but at least...got quite a bit of work done...) The water was not only black but Yati showed us the amount of fur ...or whatever that was inside the water was yuck !!

Well normally mumsie potter around the garden and also 'garden shopping' in some nearby nursery with Yati...(she loves it...it's a day out for her too...) Sometimes to the 'fish' shop for new goldfish to be added into mumsie's indoor pool..And off course we will end up in Giant..Yati and Jane's favourite outing...here they gotta buy whatever they want from bras panties..shampoo to chocalate (for Jane) coffee (for Yati yeah she drinks 4-5 cups of nescafe daily..tiada makan tapa mesti ada nescafe!!!)

Today is Saturday..so far so good...was able to 'pack' quite a lot of acitvities...now is only 4 pm.
Even though there was an emergency LSCS (fetal distress) this morning mumsie was able to rush off to attend the sisters anniversary mass (was invited by the sisters of the sacred heart of Mary for their 25th year anniversary) @ 10'00 am...Then rope in Danny boy (yeah he's back for 1 week-- Deepavali and Raya hols) and Daddy to one of our new Indian staff's house for lunch!!
Now whilst daddy and Danny boy are watching video mumsie is on the blog! Took some photos to make my blog more interesting.... here they are....Mumsie got some flowers from the market this morning and make some arrangement for the alter...

IS IT A MIRACLE?

Mumsie should have written this letter to the church in Ipon (Mother of Perpectual Help Ipoh Garden) years ago!!! But just didn't get down to doing it...wonder why???? May be I should send them a copy of this blog.. It can be my 'testimonial thingi' and it can also be a 'thanks-giving letter' to be shared with others.

This incidence happens a few years ago...when suddenly mumsie got a phone call in broad day light from mumsie's family (They never ring in the day time...cos mumsie is working working working!!! so when mumsie got called in the day means 'emergency') Being in medical line for sooooooo long the family treats mumsie a 'specialist' in everything..well it was to inform mumsie that one of mumsie's sister had some kind of 'breathlessness' twice the night before..well the advice is 'check it out-do a medical ' and Sister Wan was later told that she had an abdominal cyst in her abdomen....not pelvis..so all arrangements were made for the removal of this cyst.

Mumsie went up to Ipoh to accompay Sister Wan for her op .That night after her op. ...something went very wrong!!!! Her blood pressure was very low....and she was too 'sleepy' so mumsie demanded the nurse to call the Doc in charge.....2.00 am in the morning so mumsie had to threaten the nurse a bit. And when the Dr came he agreed that something WAS wrong so after some X-rays ect.. the Anaesthetist and Cardiologist were also called....it was an emergency cos Sister Wan's heart (3/4 of it) is collapsing in fact they had to put her on to a respirator !!! Mumsie had to call up the rest of the siblings...as Sister gotta be sent to ICU and also to inform everybody that she was being put on the 'DANGEROUSLY ILL LIST' For the next 9 days it was bad cos Sister Wan's Blood pressure kept on falling and Drs didn't know what was wrong...in fact immediately after the op mumsie was informed by the surgeon who did the op that everthing was very successful...mumsie was told that Sister Wan could be discharged in a day or 2. ...IT was really bad we were even told that even if Sister Wan pulls through she might not be able to walk again or do 'normal things' again cos 3/4 of her heart is DEAD!!! All of the other siblings held an emergency meeting....house may need renovation cos she must not climb stairs...she needed to be wheeled around blah ..blah..blah Mumsie remember seeing mumsie's mother kneeling down infront of Sister Wan's Dr. begging him to save her life.. Nothing can be done....the Dr kept on saying...I suppose this is when ONE TURN TO DIVINE HELP...
Mumsie and another sister run to the nearest Church...ie the church in Ipoh Garden and really prayed prayed prayed prayed (Meanwhile mumsie also 'storm heaven' with not only prayers but also rope in a lot of 'holy' friends to pray for Sister Wan) Pray for a miracle...that's what mumsie told everybody...Mumsie even SCOLDED the 'FELLA' up there...for doing such thing to mumsie's mother!!! Don't think she can take it if something is to happen to Sister Wan!!!
Just when we were about to 'air-lift' Sister Wan to KL'S heart centre...we were told that the cyst that was removed from Sister Wan -even though is not malignant has caused the heart to collapse cos during the removal...with all the handling , it releases some chemical that caused the heart to collapse so now we had to find the antedote.. quick...and that was the ANSWER once the antedote was found Sister Wan was taken off the respirator and after being 'DEAD' for 10 days...she came back to life again!!! Mumsie asked the cardiologist...3/4 of the heart is dead.. .what next??? But after conducting a few tests...Sister Wan is as good as new...no more heart problem...(in fact she should be healthier than Mumsie cos even the 'angiogram' showed normal)
The cardiologist told mumsie...'called it a miracle'
See you know now why mumsie goes to church daily not only to say THANK YOU but to continue praying for MIRACLES!!!

Mumsie's garden in the HAZE

At least the haze did not 'choke' mumsie's garden.. Mumsie's orkid is still 'dancing'
Indoor or outdoor they are still good....must be the 'hallogen' light doing the trick

Mumsie's garden in the HAZE

Just heard on the S'pore TV news that this year's HAZE is the worst...in fact PSI level reached
130 this afternoon!!!! And that it has cost ASEAN countries to lost about 9 billion dollars !!!

Well mumsie is still working hard in her garden !!

THE HAZE IN JB

I'm sure by now the whole world has heard about the haze caused by Indonesia's forest burning.
In fact mumsie is bz comparing the daily PSI level from the TV & the radio..@ present moment it is 89....supposedly this level is bad for health..in fact S'pore kept on reminding their people to stay in doors..and avoid outdoor activities...Read in the newspapers..the other day that the haze is costing S'pore to loose a few million $$$ a day!!! Well it certainly burn a bigger hole in mumsie's pocket cause the 'vegi-guy' in the market told mumsie that vegi price is higher because of the haze...no sun for the vegi so it takes longer for harvest and not too good product..
so you've got to pay more for not so good 'hazy vegi...'

Mumsie is so worried about her flowers and plants in her garden that it also burn another hole in mumsie's pocket....electricity bill goes higher...cause mumsie gotta put most of her plants under
'hallogen light' Took some photos to proove that haze or no haze mumsie's garden still gotta look nice!!

MUMSIE'S FLOWERS

Mumsie's Lotus peeping out

This plant has been in mumsie's garden for more than 10 years!!!

A chinese New Year must......supposed to be very auspicious to have this during CNY

NICE PHOTOS (DADDY'S CREATIONS)

Look mumsie's palm seems to like 'that corner' they're thriving well there

Thought I want to show off some of the photos taken by Daddy during the last CNY...think they look like photos out of the magazine of 'home design' quite professional.

Mumsie used this to put her 'collections'

Dinning room next to our 'dry kitchen'

MUMSIE FOR LIFE

The very first delivery (of babies) I witnessed was years & years ago in UK....there was this fairly elderly couple who just had their 'first born' Both husband and wife was hugging one another and crying..and I too can feel the tears well up in my eyes and I too cried with them..
But whether you're in UK or in Malaysia first-time parents are the same...Time and time again I've watched them sheding what I used to tell them 'tears of joy'...but wait I too remind them that they will be more 'tears' to come...when their little ones started to call them 'MAMA'
or 'PAPA' or when they had their first 'physical or emotional fall' you will cry with them!!! BUT WAIT TILL the day comes when your tears flow not from your eyes but from your heart....
The 'little ones' that you've been praying for and looking forward so much to turn around and
'snarl' at you..or says something that really hurts....then those are real tears!!

But whatever your children does your're still their mumsie....once a mumsie you're always a mumsie..If you're a teacher...don't like the students -just resign and get another job or get into another school.. Can't get on with hubby....divorce...This is what I used to tell my patients...if your child become the Prime Minister of the country you're their mumsie....but if they become the Greatest Crook of the country you're still their mumsie....YOU CAN'T RESIGN!!! Once you are a mumsie your are mumsie for LIFE!!!

BALDIE FERBIE

Ferbie had her hair cut last week...Boy was she sad! But it has to be done cos her mane was too tangled. I showed on her face....very unhappy for a few days..Mumsie has yet to learn how to groom her..supposedly it include manicure & pedicure but they left it out...so gotta return her there again this weekend!

IT was difficult to take photos of her....cos she thinks the camera is a gun...the minute she sees the camera aiming at her she runs under Yati's bed..!!! So sorry Cheh-cheh & Linny..mumsie couldn't get better pics than these! Linny hope her fur would have grown by the time you come home for Chistmas.

Nowadays...Ferbie is barred from going upstairs by Dadda...cos she was caught poooooing on Cheh-cheh' BED!!! BAD DOG!!!!

THE ROYAL JOHOR CLUB

Wonder if any of mumsie " little ones" remember RJCC ??? I'm sure Cheh-cheh & David will remember going there for their swimming lessons.
Well after Cheh-cheh & Joel's departure mumsie & Dadda started going there every Saturday evening to swim...TRYING to get rid of the 'fat' that we have gathered during cheh-cheh's stay with us....must admit that this place has improoved a lot.. The changing room even have a sauna. The whole place is quite 'classy' now..well considered the amount of cash we put in some 20 over years ago (as civil servant...only $300/) we shouldn't make any complaints Now dunno ? much but private company has to dump in at least 30 over K!! Cheh-cheh when you and Joel return don't forget to visit this place!

Never stayed for dinner in the club the last few times we went there, cause gotta pick up Linny from the church then to dinner some where ...until tonight...I must say the satay there is the best in TOWN!!
Linny you must give this Satay a try..it really is yummy...Dadda had chicken chop and it was good...(Dadda said it tasted like 'Colonial type' what he meant is that it tasted like those we used to eat when he served in the army..real English chicken chop) and it only cost $9/- Mumsie had
'hailan mee'--a mistake...very ordinary mee !

And next to our table was this Malay couple with 2 very young children..Gosh they must be starving....puasa month...so they ordered a lot to break their fast!!! A big big plate of chili crab A big bowl of something like Cury Fish Head...An omlet dish...A big plate of potatoes with chicken a plate of vegi then a big bowl of Sharksfin soup! Now I know why Malysia has so many many FAT
PEOPLE! It was published in the Strait Times on Friday's headlines that Malaysia has more Fat people than US and Europe!! And mumsie never belive them..!!!!!

TOKYO DISNEYLAND

This is really JAPAN..a very happy mumsie with dadda and Danny Boy meditating.
Lin mumsie misses you...and I'm sure so does Dadda!!!
Look! Mumsie caught her 'Cinderela' A real 'orang puteh' Cinderela not a Japanese one!
First time ever! Caught Danny Boy smilling. Must be really a happy place..

Dunno about Dadda but Mumsie is really happeeee enjoying every minute in this Kingdom of Dreams and Magic!

Ooops This is no Disneyland! This is inside the Asakusa KannonTemple...was told that if you drink from this spring...you'll be showered with blessings of good health ect ect..
Hey those cups are 'sterile' we took them out from 'U V' litted holes!
This is at the Asakusa Kannon Temple ...supposedly the oldest Buddhist temple in the region and it does draw people from around Japan..filling the narrow back streets and nearby districts with shops and old building selling traditional items from kimono to hand made comb.

JAPAN FOCUS TOUR (CONTD)

From KLIA We landed in OSAKA's MAN-MADE ISLAND Airport (supposedly the most expensive airport in the world) Then straight to Universal Studio....Dada wanted this background...must be thinking of Lin
Lin this one is for you! You should be standing beside mumsie! Osaka's Universal Studio is tons better than the one in Gold Coast Australia(sorry che-che) We mananged to get on to a few rides...cause had to queeeeee for hours for each ride!
The Amazing Adventures of the Spider-Man is a must must ride. We put on our 3-D Spider-Vision goggles and join the world's favourite web slinger as he goes up against an army of twisted villians to rescue the Statue of Liberty. We raced throught the city in the most incredible action-packed adventure ride ever!!!! (Danny Boy saide this is the best)

Terminator 2:3 is a must too 3-D images with a force that hurls you back in your seat! It is a real 3-D cyber adventure....with real life Japanese characters inside...speaking in Japanese too....Infact all the shows and rides are in Japanese....don't understand them at all!!! No subtitles!!

Mumsie loves the SHREK'S 4-D Adventure . It puts you inside the action of the Academy Award winning move "Shrek" Should have allowed us to stay longer in the Studio so that we can catch more of the rides...but because of the huge crowd..quee is loooooong most of the time is spent on the quee It's Halloween in Osaka's Japan's Universal Studio so this is their Halloween parade!

From Osaka we left for Kyoto for nearly 1100 years was home to the emperor, thus capital of the nation. Kyoto ranks with Athens, Cairo and Beijing as a living museum .
Took a 15 min ride on the bullet train from Hakone to Mt Fuji..whilst waiting for the bullet train we saw a few bullet trains wheeeeez past us. Gosh it really was fast...just a blink of the eye..and the train is gone..but I must say when I was riding on the train I was too busy 'chatting' so did not notice the difference..what a shame!

Actually this Japan Focus Tour compared to the Hokaido tour... mumsie prefers the Hokaido one
It is much much better...in fact during that tour mumsie kept on Dadda tha after going through so many holidays the Hokaido one is the best and the only one that I don't mind returning to the same holiday...yes it is that goood!

JAPAN FOCUS TOUR

Took this photo cause it reminds me of my `little ones' favourites...wonder if 'cheh-cheh' remembers watching this with mumsie
This 'universal studio' is tons better than the one in Gold Coast!
Terminsator 2:3 D is a must...3-D images emerge with a force that hurls you back in your seat! A real 3-D cyber adventure...don't remember seeing this in Australia or US...it combines real life characters too!
The Amazing Adventure of Spider- Man is a must must toooooo! (seconded by Danny Boy) Had to put on 3-D spider- Vision goggles and join the world's favourite web slinger as he goes up against an army of twisted willias to rescue the Statue of Liberty . We literally race through the city in the most incredible action -packed adventure ride ever...The only complain ever thing is spoken in JAPANESE.....but action is action whether be is JAPANESE OR OTHERWISE...
Japanese here Japanese there.....not many foreigner... many many many of them...so we were unable to see or join many many many of the rides...gotta queeeeeeeeeeee hours for one ride!!
It's Halloween in Japan and this is taken during the Halloween Parade in Universal Studio

I know of people who collects Hard Rock Cafe stuffs...but mumsie has been collecting Hard Rock
pics with mumsie infront of their outlets for years and years....10-15 of these pics from different countries...as the pictures get 'cooler' mumsie gets 'older'

JAPAN FOCUS TOUR

Well mumsie is back from the Japapn Tour....it was not as nice as the Hokaido tour...but still it brings back a lot of memories....cause we went to Universal Studio and Disney Land. with all my `littel ones' some (long long) time ago and..I kept on telling myself if only all my `little ones' are around it will be much much much better..I don't remember seeing so many many many people there!! GOSH you've got queue at least 1-2 hrs for most of the rides!! So we only can manage a
(very) few rides!

Ooops quess who's the camera man? Got the
background right but gotta quess who's standing in front.

Well mumsie got stuck now...unable to up load another picture to the blog.. anyway maybe I
shall continue some other day...Wanted to show you the `Kobe' beef that we had...don't ask us the price ..the tour guide volunteered to specially order it for us...according to her had to be specially flown in from Kobe...see before slaughtering the poor thing...we were told that these special cows drink beer and got massage daily so that their meat is tender ect ect..so we ordered and we tried...NO 1..it really taste nice..juicy and good..we just bbq it. (Shall continue next day
after sorting out my pictures)

BUSY BUSY BUSY

Dr Ng, Dadda's helpper in the clinic has taken one week's leave ..to China (his second trip there)Acutally it's a working holiday for him...cos he's there to 'spread the word of God'....conversion is a better word for it.....I was quite doubtful that he can 'convert anybody' but according to him even if even one will listen it is still worth his going there!! Boy I should ask him to start talking to my 'Daniel' first.. Anyway months before he left he had asked someone to 'replace him' BUT was 'let down' by that 'fella' who last minute backed out...So frantically both he & mumsie tried to 'yell' for help and thanks to our 'usual Teluk Anson specialist' who used to come on & off to 'cover' us when we go on 'hols' He was able to 'cancel' his 'court case' @ the very last minute...
Clinic on SUNDAYS are like 'mad house' if dadda is alone....can't immagine it... Anyway he was able to help us out for 4 days...better than nothing....
The last few days clinic and the wards are just as bz bz bz...babies seem to 'roll' out all @ once and on the same day....had about 7 or 8 'little fellas' on Merdeka day!!
Yesterday and today Dadda was alone. Especially today not only clinic was bz but the ward has emergencies as well....Think mumsie lost quite a few kilos..running up and down the stairs..
Poor Dadda was called out 3 x last night...(funny how these 'little fellas' like to come out in the middle of the night...(though no complaints from the clinic nurses..@ least we don't get disturbances so much..if not each time the Dr goes for deliveries they have to 'FACE' angry patients who keep on asking 'how long more' to wait.
WORST is when parents choose 'GOOD TIME' for their little 'fellas' to come out....What is 'aupicious' for them might not be 'good timings' for us....and sometimes despite of telling them that the following story...it still doesn't work...
Well one of our Dr...went to the temple to get 'GOOD TIME' for her baby girl to come out..and after going to 2 temples she was given the same date and time..and she was 'over the moon' when she was able to have a normal delivery and also at the hour given by both the temples.
But when she took the time to the temples after the delivery ..she was told that because of the time she was born...every time she gets married..her husband will die...7 husbnds to be exact!!!! What went wrong???? Nobody can give her the anwer...So mumsie asked her to ask her temples for solution.....well she will have to choose a boy with the same fate...will kill 7 wifes.....!!!!
One patient suggested to me that maybe since the time was given by Indian temples...maybe time given is 'INDIAN TIME' and not Malaysian Time..????
Any way both mumsie and I'm sure Dadda too will be looking forward to having Dr Ng back!
Then its our turn to go on hols...if U don't hear from mumsie its because Mumsie and Dadda and Daniel are going to JAPAN from 14/9/06 to 20/9/06...Yes Daniel is having 2 weeks break..it will be our 1st 'oversea' hols with him since he joins Manipal...after 4 long years..they never seems to get longer than 2 weeks hols . AND @ odd time of the year...September..only 2 weeks every year....!!!!
So remember to pray for our holidays!!!

SAD SAD MORNING

Had only 3 hrs sleep...alarm rang @ 4.15 am ..gotta send my 'little-lest darling ' to the airport.
Yes she's returning to London..gotta catch the 7.00 am flight to KL Then the 9 .00 am flight to London..So some special 'serious talking' to the 'fella' up there...not forgetting to light a special candle for the other 'little one' who is starting his 1st day exams....must also remember to tell HIM that it is ENT EXAMS...to be more exact...so that HE will give him more exact help!!
Must leave the house @ 5.00 am (the latest) cos mumsie is no good @ driving in the dark especially when on unfamiliar roads....just in case mumsie makes a 'wrong turn' ect ect.. Any way was able to leave the house @ 5.08 am...& after crossing @ least 5 traffic lights...(some red ones which cause some delay) mumsie was able to reach the airport without getting lost...though mumsie was not too sure @ 1st...the dark roads look unfamiliar...(Manage to SMS Daniel -to which him BESTOFLUCK on the way too clever mumsie !!) Ah clever mumsie brought Yati our Indo maid along....just in case mumsie got lost on the way home or driving alone in the dark...not that she is a good size for 'body guard' but she's still a good 'chilli padi' JB is not very save nowadays..

Air port was full activities..(unlike the last time....I suppose all those 'would be bombings of air
flights' doesn't seem to stop people from flying. The worry of the luggage being over weight doesn't exist cos the weighing machine @ the check-in-counter was not working!!!!!! (SEE THE 'FELLA' up there must have done something and if only HE let us know earlier...we could have.........ah but dadda would say 'don't test the 'fella' up there tooooo much) Time now is 6.00 am or is it 5.55 am (according to the little-lest darling) Mumsie was full of smiles...clever mumsie
needn't need Driver Azlan mumsie is able to drive to the airport......and on TIME TOOOOO

BUT WHAT A SHOCK (DUNNO what went wrong) when little darling muttered that we're
BLOODY EARLY !!!!! (beg your parden...plane is taking off @ 7 '0clock!!! And checking in time on the boarding ticket is 6.35 am) Ya it's still BLOODY EARLY cos her friend who is leaving from KL to London will only leave the house @ 7.00 am!!!! Oooi Plane leaving for LONDON @ 9'oclock !! What about those talks about planes heading for UK & US must be in the airport earlier for thorough checking?????? (Don't care..retorted little darling) But but but dunno what to say....mumsie's heart is crying....all the effort....should lie in bed and let Azlan the driver take her to the air-port (@ least I won't hear such BLOOOODY REMARKS!!!!!) That's it ! Mumsie is leaving....not staying any longer to see dark gloomy face...actually I would have liked 'her' to hug Yati and say thank you (YATI work up @ 3.30 am to do her house work..so that she can come with us!!) No words of THANX but complaints!!!! GOSH WHAT WENT WRONG????? WHY WHY WHY????

THE 3G CHUs

The 3 G of the CHUS

(Seated) Dadda Chu/Auntie Chu/Grandma Chu/Mumsie Chu The 'little chus' Koko , Chehcheh, Daniel, Celine

Grandma Chu's brain is still very active (unlike her teeth...all false) She can still tell you stories of 'yester years' without much effort! I suppose if not for her 'parkinson illness' she can outwalk anybody. Mind you she can remember to take all her 'countless colourfull tablets' daily without any coaching...and ask for 'refills' ..only thing is she needs help with 'halfing the the tablets' if not they become 'outsize' I suppose her eyes are not as sharp as her brain. And she can remember where all the 'little chus' are, though she doen't know why they don't seem to come back 'for good' I'm not as old as she is and I too don't unserstand that!!! Well I suppose I will have to 'talk to the fella up there' about this. Wonder if HE can help! I suppose when 'the little ones' are naughty years ago we always harp "when will you grow up and leave us alone" Now when we are old we want them to be near us and not leave us alone! A bit confusing for our 'little ones' but I'm hoping 'the fella' up there can help.

Dadda Chu has a brain of an elephant!!! or should I say 'camel's hump' He seems to know every thing and anything....from his patients conditions to non-medical 'stuff' Ask him about sound system / Hi-fi he not only can tell you the 'best sets' to buy but also to the very detail 'wires' ect ect....about cars.....he can tell you the latest models in the market.....mind you he drives miles and miles to see the 'latest car shows' be it in KL or S'pore (with Mumsie treading along.....well I can only gawk @ the 'skinny models' beside the cars and then for the next few weeks 'starving' and jumping up and down the weighing machines hoping to see a few kilos off...Sigh very very difficult for mumsie enjoy s FOOD... ANY FOOD.....except human meat!!!!! Maybe mumsie should join the gang in 'Fear Factor'....should come out NO 1 !!!!) Talk about Iraq war & whatever wars there's going on between BUSH and OSAMA and 'who and who' Dadda seems to know who's who and what is what.....Then the latest pop songs ect ect and their singers and their song titles he seems to know them all (Clever mumsie only know those S'pore IDOLS' and their first names....nothing more than that) One day there was this bank staff who wanted to introduce Dadda Chu to unit trust ect ect and came out of his room commenting that Dadda knows more than she... ....and she came out telling us that she should do more 'home-work' before she comes to talk to Dadda Chu the next time (and mumsie can only smile...at least she knows that her money are safe with Dadda Chu and not in the hands of those so-called 'fund managers' ) Wonder if there is anything that Dadda Chu doesn't know or remember.....YES YES 2 THINGS.....MUMSIE'S BIRTHDAY ...AND OUR wedding aniversary!!!!!!!

Auntie Chu seems to live in a world of her own....by hearting all her Astro 'Wah Lai Toy ' chinese drama's time table !!! So for her life is EAT SLEEP AND TV and saving everypeny for her 'death ceremony' ..making sure that there'll be enough 'loud chanting' So that her 'after life' will be Goooooood be it in Heaven or Hell???

Think mumsie should stop here before the 'little chus' come after me for 'revealing' too much of their side of the story..........well maybe someday....eh??? Any comments???
